Classes
Students attend library class as a group, 1 time per cycle, but they can come in any day (except for D days) to exchange books or use other library resources.
Books
Students have a limit to the number of books they can have out at any time. The standard numbers for each grade level are listed below, but exceptions will be made for class projects, family vacations, or other things that come up. If you'd like your child to take out additional books for some event, please let Miss Schack know.

Overdues and Lost books
After books are more than 20 school days past their due date, the library will give a notice to the student that they owe a book. Unless there is a class project, or other request for a student to have additional books, students can only have their number of books out at a time, so they will not get a book to replace that one until it is taken care of.
After your student and the family have looked for the book for at least 60 days (including the initial 20), you will be eligible to fill out a Lost Book Declaration. This form states that you have looked for the book and not been able to recover it. The form should be signed by the student and a parent or guardian, and will tell the library that you both have thoroughly looked for it. The first lost book will be forgiven, but you will be billed the cost of replacing the book for any subsequent lost library materials.
